Heart-Shaped Marzipan Cut-Out Cakes

EASY ALMOND CAKE baked. You can also bake your favorite cake recipe or use store bought pound cake

Mandelin Princess Torte Pink Marzipan

Coarse sugar and/or sprinkles

Confectioners’ sugar

Heart-shaped cookie cutters, optional
Directions
Bake Easy Almond Cake recipe, bake in a rimmed cookie sheet or jelly roll pan and reduce baking time to 25 - 30 minutes. Let cool.
If using store bought or your favorite cake recipe, slice in ½” – ¾” slices.
Sprinkle some confectioners’ sugar on you work space and your rolling pin and roll the marzipan to ¼ thick and place over your cake.

Cut out heart shapes or cut into bite-size squares.
Decorate bite-size cut outs with coarse sugar or sprinkles.
