Classic almond milk is even easier to make at home than you would think. When using Mandelin almonds, the taste is unmatched!
Classic Almond Milk
Ingredients

1 cup Mandelin Blanched Whole Almonds

4 cups water

*Sweetener of your choice (optional) Add 1 of the following: 1 date, 1 tablespoon maple sugar, or 1 tablespoon sugar

1 tablespoon vanilla (optional)

1 pinch salt
Directions
Cover almonds with water and soak almonds in water for 8 - 12 hours. Rinse.
Grind in a blender with 4 cups of water until almonds are totally ground. Let stand for 2 hours.
Strain through a cheese cloth or nutmilk bag into a bowl. Return to the blender, add sweetener of your choice, vanilla, salt and blend for 1 minute. Referigerate for 3 - 5 days.
Use the remaining ground almonds immediately in your favorite cake or cookie recipe, or a savory recipe such as almond pesto.
*Reduce water for a creamier result.
Recipe Note
Serve cold. Variation: Add 1 tablespoon chocolate to milk.
